Welcome to ZOOccarato: the first zoo open to the public in the province of Padua!

We know that corporate well-being is important. We also know that productivity increases when working in a stimulating environment. But why stop at a simple relaxation room or a break area with plants? After months of work, we are finally excited to announce the official opening of our company zoo: ZOOccarato, the first wildlife park accessible to the public in the province of Padua! We have converted our internal lake into a real naturalistic space, designed to host animals in dedicated environments and to offer the area a unique experience of discovery and encounter with biodiversity.

An authorized and sustainable project

The ZOOccarato project was born from a vision that combines environmental responsibility and openness to the territory. After an authorization process started over a year ago, we received the authorization from the Veneto Region and from the Veterinary Service of the competent ULSS, with a favorable opinion also from ISPRA for the reception of the species present.

The park develops around the lake inside our production site, a previously disused area that has been completely redeveloped with landscape, naturalistic and structural interventions, in collaboration with biologists, agronomists and green architects.

The hosted species

All animals present are cared for in full compliance with current regulations, within controlled environments designed to guarantee well-being and safety. The park currently hosts over 50 animals including mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, divided into diversified habitats and studied in collaboration with industry experts.

We are pleased to welcome:

• over 12 species of mammals, including some specimens from tropical and savannah environments;
• more than 20 species of birds, observable in semi-open spaces and immersive aviaries;
• an area dedicated to amphibians and reptiles, where it is possible to discover rare and fascinating animals;
• and, of course, our lake is home to native fish such as carp, tench and perch, visible from special viewing positions.

Among the species most appreciated by visitors: the colourful tropical parrots, the mighty African lions, the elegant pink flamingos and the curious chameleons. An exciting mix of local fauna and exotic biodiversity that makes ZOOccarato a truly unique place!

Staff training and management

To guarantee the correct care of the animals, we have started training courses with recognized zoological bodies, forming a mixed team made up of technical personnel, former painters and environmental operators. The daily activities are supervised by a veterinary doctor and a zoologist in charge.

An initiative for the territory

ZOOccarato is not just a corporate project: it is an initiative aimed at the community. Our wildlife park can be visited by reservation at the following times:

• Monday to Friday: 2.00pm – 6.00pm
• Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 – 18:30

During the visit, it is possible to take part in guided tours, visit educational areas, relax in the equipped green areas and discover the species hosted up close.

Furthermore, Zoccarato employees and their family members can access the park with an 80% discount on the entrance ticket, as a sign of recognition for the contribution that everyone has given to the realization of this project.

Our goal is to open the company to the territory in a responsible way, promoting culture, environmental education and sustainability.

With ZOOccarato we look to the future with a concrete and participatory vision, which puts nature, people and business at the centre.
