Key strengths

  • Powder and liquid: two technologies, one partner

  • Dedicated, automated lines for each cycle

  • RAL colours, gloss levels, textures and effects to order

  • Anti-corrosion cycles combined with sandblasting and e-coating

  • In-house laboratory for tests and checks on every cycle

A high-performance industrial finish

Powder coating is a surface coating process in which powder paint is applied electrostatically to metal components. The electrically charged particles cling to the surface of the part; the subsequent oven curing melts the powder into a uniform, hard-wearing protective film.

It is the most widely used technology in industrial surface treatment because it combines aesthetic quality, durability and reliability over time, with no solvents and with overspray recovery.

Advantages of powder coating

  • High resistance to weathering and excellent corrosion protection
  • Uniform finish, with no runs
  • High mechanical and chemical resistance
  • Wide choice of RAL colours, textures and effects (metallic, wrinkle, matt or gloss)
  • Dry, solvent-free application with minimal waste
  • High repeatability on large series

Liquid finishes for flexible industrial cycles

Liquid coating is a spray coating process that produces protective and decorative finishes on industrial components of any shape and size, in metal and in plastic. The paint is then dried or cured to guarantee adhesion, protection and durability.

It is the ideal solution when you need custom colours, exact matches to a customer specification or effects powder cannot give: metallic, pearlescent, satin, textured, in different gloss levels.

Advantages of liquid coating

  • Wide variety of decorative finishes and special effects
  • Accurate control of colour and gloss
  • Application on metal, light alloys and plastic
  • Suitable for large components or complex geometries
  • Good chemical and mechanical resistance
  • High production flexibility, even on small batches

Powder or liquid? How to choose.

We recommend the cycle best suited to the component

The two technologies are not strict alternatives: the choice depends on the material, the size of the part, the finish required and the conditions of use. Our technical office assesses every request and proposes the cycle with the best balance of performance and cost.

Powder is the right choice when

  • the component is metal and can go through an oven
  • you need large series with a repeatable, consistent finish
  • the priority is resistance to mechanical stress, abrasion and weathering
  • you want a solvent-free process with low environmental impact

Liquid is the right choice when

  • the part is plastic, light alloy or cannot be heated
  • you need a custom colour or a special effect (metallic, pearlescent, textured)
  • the component is very large or has intricate geometries
  • you are working on small batches or prototypes with particular specifications

Both coatings can be part of high-performance combined cycles: sandblasting, chemical pretreatments and e-coating as an anti-corrosion primer, followed by the powder or liquid finish, for components destined for aggressive environments.

Powder and liquid coating FAQ.

What is the difference between powder and liquid coating?
Powder is applied dry, electrostatically, and cured in an oven: a uniform, very durable film with no solvents. Liquid is spray-applied and then dried or cured: maximum freedom in colours and effects, also suitable for plastic and parts that cannot go through an oven.
Which of the two is more durable?
For the same cycle, powder generally offers higher mechanical and abrasion resistance. In aggressive environments corrosion resistance depends above all on pretreatment and primer: that is why we propose cycles combined with e-coating.
Can you coat plastic components?
Yes, with liquid coating, which does not require high-temperature oven curing. Powder is reserved for metal components.
Do you offer RAL colours and custom shades?
Yes. For powder we work with the whole RAL range and with metallic, wrinkle and textured effects, matt or gloss; for liquid we can formulate colours to sample and special effects to the customer's specification.
Can powder, liquid and e-coating be combined in the same cycle?
Yes. E-coating is often used as an anti-corrosion primer, followed by the powder or liquid finish; the cycle can also include sandblasting, chemical pretreatments and sealing. Everything is carried out in-house.
How do I request a quote?
Fill in the form with the material, quantities, approximate dimensions and the finish you need (RAL colour, gloss, effect), or call +39 049 9202150 or write to offerte@zoccaratoverniciature.it. We reply with a technical assessment and an offer.
